Vision
This site is dedicated to the idea that we can consistently practice, improve, and grow in our love of God through worshipping him together. The vision is not stylistic, but rather one that tries to allow the Scriptures to guide both the form and function of a worship service. The first goal is to glorify God, which is accomplished by beholding and being transformed by him. (2 Cor. 3:18).
Moorings
The theological heritage that informs our philosophy of worship is that of Reformed Presbyterianism. We are grateful for the historical, theological, and stylistic influences that make us who we are. At the same time, we believe that the principles on which we operate stretch beyond our denominational affiliation and stylistic affinities.
We believe that the Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments are the Word of God. We subscribe to the system of doctrine as found in The Westminster Confession of Faith, along with the Larger and Shorter Catechisms, which is subordinate to the Word of God. We also agree with various other creeds, such as the Apostles Creed, the Heidelberg Catechism, and The Canons of Dort.
